Matthew earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2024, where he was the recipient of the Jerome Prince Merit Scholarship and actively participated in the Moot Court Honor Society. During his time at Brooklyn Law School, Matthew was a judicial intern for the Honorable Elizabeth N. Warin of the New York City Supreme Court, and he also worked with the Office of the New York State Attorney General as an intern within the Litigation Bureau. In addition, Matthew was a legal writing and research teaching assistant to Professor Diana Hortsch. He currently is awaiting appointment to the Second Department of the New York State Bar.

Prior to his legal studies, Matthew graduated from Virginia Tech in 2019 with a B.A. in Political Science, a B.A. in Theatre Performance, and a Minor in History. While at Virginia Tech, Matthew was a board member of an advocacy organization, Tech Dreamers, that successfully advocated for DACA students at the university as well as at the local and state government levels. He also actively participated in several productions, founded a performance collective, and was a member of the Alpha Psi Omega Honors Fraternity. After completing his undergraduate education, Matthew worked in business, sales and account management before pursuing his legal education.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his dog Remy, going on walks around New York City, and watching the New York Knicks.
